Juan Zuriarrain has been elected CEC Treasurer in 2009. He is a member of the CEC Steering Committee since 1997 and represents the Spanish confederation of Executives (CCP). He was CCP Vice-President fro 2005 to 2008 and President from 2008 to 2010.
His professional life is strongly related to Enagas, a Spanish energy company, where he has worked for more than 30 years, holding various posts. He still holds the position of Internal Control Manager. He has also previously worked for SAFEI, a Financial studies company, and for 3M Spain.
Juan Zuriarrain was also active in national politics. He thus joined the Spanish party Centro Democrático y Social (CDS) in 1982 and he was elected member of the Regional Parliament in Madrid during 1987-1991, as a representative of the same party. From 1994 to 1996, he held the position of General Secretary of CDS.
He holds a Bachelor in Economic Sciences from Universidad Complutense de Madrid and a Master in European Communities from the Spanish Diplomatic School.
