Launch of the digital skills and job coalition

CEC European Managers has participated in the launch of the digital skills and job coalition initiated by the European Commission on 1. December 2016 in Brussels. The coalition brings national and European stakeholders together to pledge action and identify best practices for streamlining the coordination for digital skills education. Digital skills will be a fundamental educational asset among the technical skills required in a digitalised working environment. CEC European Managers therefore welcomes the concerted efforts on both national and European level needed to create the conditions in which the opportunities of the digital era are used to create new jobs, a more sustainable economy and a more inclusive society.

CIDA: 70 years of innovative leadership

CEC European Managers has participated in the celebration of the 70th birthday of CIDA in Rome. The Italian organisation is one of the founders of CEC European Managers and looks back on a remarkable history.  The eternal city has also served as location for the election of the new Deputy Secretary General, Catherine Houlmann during the CEC Steering Committee meeting.

Digital skills round table: a call for leadership

As one of the European social partners CEC European Managers participated in the discussion on how to enhance digital skills of European employees in the future. Commissioner Günter Oettinger (Digital Economy and Society) called for better cooperation to encourage investments of member states for the new skills. The discussion was the starting point of the new Digital Skills and Jobs Coalition to be launched in December.
