CEC European Managers Joins Forces with European Parliament to Champion Social Dialogue and Employment in EU Budget
The European Parliament is working to make sure the EU long-term budget invests in what matters to Europeans. With that in mind, it has launched a campaign called “Invest in What Matters.”
The EU long-term budget provides financing to ensure that the EU has the means to deliver on its objectives: safeguarding peace and bringing prosperity across Europe.
As the EU institutions gear up for crucial discussions on the next Multiannual Financial Framework (MFF), CEC European Managers, as an official communication partner of the European Parliament and a social partner of the European Commission, wants to take action in shaping public opinion and influencing policy direction.
Representing over one million managers across the continent, CEC European Managers is set to place a strong focus on social dialogue, social affairs, and employment policies in the upcoming budget debates.
“Managers are not only economic actors – they are bridge builders between employers and workers,” said President Maxime Legrand, and added, “They play a critical role in making the European social model work in practice.”
In line with this mission, CEC European Managers has announced its endorsement of the European Parliament’s ‘Invest in What Matters’ campaign.
As official communication partners of the Parliament, we are ready to develop and amplify key messages that reflect the managerial perspective, understanding that Europe’s success hinges on a well-functioning social market economy. This means protecting the very policies that sustain inclusion, social cohesion, and workforce adaptability.

Funding streams dedicated to social dialogue mechanisms are more important than ever, and European leaders and managers will support those actions that help reinforce and enhance social dialogue.
Managers believe that social dialogue is the backbone of Europe’s employment relations system, and will stay vigilant amid broader budgetary pressures.
Social dialogue is a cornerstone of European integration. It ensures fairness, productivity, and stability – values that should never be up for negotiation,
Through its partnership with the European Parliament and its strong network of national and cross-sectoral federations, CEC European Managers aims to bring the voice of Europe’s leaders into the heart of the budgetary debate, ensuring that the next EU budget truly invests in what matters.
Stay tuned to CEC European Managers’ communications – we will soon launch our campaign to shape the budget discussions and promote a future-proof investment agenda.
