CEC European Managers to Champion Climate Leadership at COP30

CEC European Managers, together with our Danish member organisation Lederne – Danmarks største lederorganisation, will join – once more – world leaders, businesses, and civil society at this year’s UN Climate Change Conference (COP30) in Belém, Brazil.

Representing European leaders and managers, CEC Secretary General Torkild Justesen will emphasize the central role of climate leadership in securing a green, fair, and just transition.

“The world urgently needs climate leadership. At COP30, we want to ensure that the voices of European managers are heard – as decision-makers, bridge-builders, and drivers of sustainable change”

Torkild Justesen

CEC Secretary General

Since 2018, climate leadership has been at the heart of CEC European Managers’ agenda. We have been consistently called for ambitious climate action, arguing that a green transition is essential for building a competitive and sustainable Europe.

At COP30, CEC aims to engage stakeholders in dialogue on the Commitment to the green transition, while ensuring competitiveness, resilience, and geopolitical security, as well as empowering the next generation of corporate leaders who will inherit the consequences of today’s decisions.

In that sense, our Danish member organisation, Lederne, has been making considerable efforts since 2024 to engage young people in the climate conversation.

Managers are uniquely positioned to turn climate commitments into reality. Let’s use COP30, as we did in COP29, as a platform to shape the future together.”
